Slightly darker than its cousin the bock. This beer showcases caramel, malt, and moderate hop bitterness. At 7.2% ABV, this brew is sure to warm the soul.

On draught at the brewpub in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Pours a clear dark reddish copper amber brew with a creamy off-white head that has some excellent retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, some extra alcohol presence, citrus and a touch of yeast. Taste is full bodied with flavors of grain alcohol, caramel malt, a hint of vegetable and citrus zest. Finish has a slight metallic and alcohol bite that leaves behind a semi-dry texture and aftertaste. Nice alcohol warmth during the finish too.
