On draught at the brewpub in downtown Marshfield, Wisconsin. Pours an opaque dark brown (almost black) brew with a thick beige head that has great retention and excellent lacing. Aromas of dark bittersweet chocolate, some light biscuits, coffee and some lactose. Flavor is medium to full bodied, toasted dark malt, coffee, and sweet pitted dark fruits. Finish is semi-sweet with a lingering toasted dark malt aftertaste. Quite different than the previous brewers with a touch more lactose.
