On draught at the Blue Heron Brewpub in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-hazy amber colored brew with a thick and creamy off-white head that resembles a nitro pour head. Excellent retention and lacing throughout. Aroma of mostly Cascade hops, a hint of green vegetables, toffee and caramel malt. Taste is very smooth, semi-sweet with flavors of grapefruit, toffee and caramel. Finish is semi-sweet, toffee and caramel aftertaste with grapefruit without the typical citrusy bitterness as most other American Pale Ales. Closer to an English Style Pale Ale. I normally do not order food with IPA or heavily hopped American Pale Ales. This specialty harvest hop APA will go well with any food. Well done!
