On draught at the Blue Heron brewpub in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Pours a dark cola brown colored porter with some dark copper highlights and a fast dissipating off-white head that leaves behind minimal lacing. Aroma of toasted dark malts, a hint of dry English-style hops, molasses, and some vanilla. Flavor is medium bodied, very little bourbon presence but plenty of toasted dark malt and vanilla flavors. Finish is quite smooth, nice balanced toasted dark malt, chocolate, vanilla and a touch of dry hops. The bourbon oak aging really balanced out the flavors compared to the base Pandemonium Porter.

On tap at the brew pub. So great to see the pub working closely with the local homebrew club, major props. Very dark brown with a small white head. Brown sugar aroma, no bourbon to speak of really. Flavor has some light bourbon notes as well as cocoa nibs, green grasses, light oak. Seems a little light in chocolate malts for a porter to me, so overall it seems a bit thin.
