On draught at the Blue Heron brewpub in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Pours a clear dark copper brown colored brew with a creamy off-white head that has some excellent retention and lacing. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, roasted nuts, a hint of floral hops and a touch of chocolate. Taste is medium bodied, soft palate, with flavors of toasted dark malt, some caramel, with a touch of roasted nuts. Finish is semi-sweet with a malty brown ale character and minimal bitterness.
