Special 3 pm tapping during GTMW 2010 in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a clear dark copper amber colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of caramel and multi-grain malt, a hint of peat, vanilla and a touch of dark pitted fruits. Taste is full bodied, caramel malt, some oak/wood presence, peat and floral hops. Finish has some alcohol presence, but a much smooth texture than the regular Loch Ness Scotch Ale.
