COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after the former ice cream dairy the brewery now occupies, this German style pilzner is a European masterpiece. Golden straw colored, with a fine dense head of pure white foam. In keeping with tradition we use only the finest pilzner malts and choicest hops from Bavaria. Aged at nearly freezing temperatures, the final result is a crisp, highly carbonated beer to be enjoyed one sip at a time.

This one is a light golden pour with a citrus aroma. Not bad, but they should dirtch the skunky finish.

On tap.
Pours a clear pale yellow with thin snow-white head. A couple streams of bubbles make their way from the bottom. Aroma shows faint crisp hops and a lightly fruity character that seems more characteristic of a Kolsch than a pilsner. The tart, off-fruity flavors really show up front on first sip, with the hops and light grain never really able to catch up. Medium-light body and mouthfeel with a little less carbonation than I’d like to see in a Pilsner. It really is hard to get this seemingly simple beer style right; and unfortunately, BH doesn’t do it.

On draught at the brewpub in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden blonde brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind thin white ring. Aroma of light white bread, grassy hops and a touch of citrus. Taste is light bodied, some carbonation with flavors of light white bread some light citrus zest and a touch of corn. Finish is slightly dry, a tad watery with a mild bitterness at first and then a light crisp aftertaste.
