Reddish brown color with a lasting tan head. Mild bready aroma. Extremely dry taste with hints of caramel malt & biscuits.

My first beer from the Blue Heron brewery (thinking it’s the CW folks??)- pours a bright reddish amber with some decent froth. Pretty nice retention in the head, leaving behind some sticky lacing. Aroma is pleasent with some noticeably rye, smoke and berry fruits. Taste has a chewy, earth quality to it. A little drier then i expected.

Draft at the OF. Filtered looking red-brown color. Amber malt tastes, sweet and sugary. Not so great, not really offensive either I suppose. Thin body, the rye doesnt help even this one out. A little boring and bland.

On draught at the Blue Heron Brewpub in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear reddish amber colored brew with a slow dissolving off-white head that has some nice retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel and multi-grain malt, some citrus zest and a touch of orange peel. Taste is medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of multi-grain malt, dry toast crust, a hint of orange zest and some plastic. Finish is semi-dry with some citrus and grassy hop bitterness that slowly disappears.
