COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The winner of our first homebrew competition is now our brewer, and he’s brewed his strong Belgian ale for us again. This is a bold and complex beer featuring flavors and aromas of confectioner’s sugar, overripe banana, orange peel, peppery alcohol, and a spicy resiny hop finish. At 9.3% ABV this beer is absolutely made for sipping while you unravel all the wonderful flavors and aromas. Sharp and spicy while fresh, this beer will soften and change week by week. Served in Belgian tulip glass only.

Not much flavor here except for the heavy alcohol taste. This beer does a terrible job of hiding the alcohol bite. Not too good.

On draught at the Blue Heron brewpub in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden amber brew with a creamy white head that slowly dissolves to a thin white film and excellent lacing. Aroma of banana bread, some orange and coriander, caramel, cotton candy and some yeast. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with flavors of banana, yeast, cotton candy, a hint of wintergreen and some pepper spice. Finish has a short lived mild bitterness and a high alcohol profile. A tad hot in the finish. Potential for an outstanding tripel but needs maybe at least two more months of aging to smooth out the finish profile.
