COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This season, celebrate a wonderful time of the year with Blue Hills Brewery as we share our newest release: Three Peak Holiday Stout. The rocky hills overshadowing the brewery were our inspiration for this hearty offering. Enticing notes of oak, vanilla, and sweet lactose are the trifecta of flavors upon which we based this milk stout. As the days get shorter and the weather colder, this rich stout will be a wonderful libation at all festive gatherings.

(22oz bottle) Courtesy of Kat & Cyn. Pours a white lacing atop a deep mahogany body. Nose wafts of sour cherries. Some raspberry seed tarts the flavor - not really a very sweet stout, rather a sour stout. Reminds me of Magic Hat’ Feast of Fools stout. I actually really dig this - though I suspect it’s infected. The general public would give it a drain pour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPod; and powered by RateBeer.com, the world’s largest and most accurate beer database.

Very dark with a pleasing mild coffee ,smoke and vanilla aroma and full tan colored head. Light body with more than hints of aged oak. Long rewarding malty finish with an easy hop profile.

Pours black into an English pint. Mocha micro head with excellent retention leaves a thick sheet as it recedes to coat surface. Sweet vanilla and milk chocolate aromas. Astringent with nutty caramel and chocolate upfront turning to mild espresso, sour oak and vanilla in the dry finish.

Pours a solid dark brown color with the faintest of ruby highlights when held to light and a decent bubbly off white head that displays moderate retention and lace. Smells of sweet and roasted malts, a hint of vanilla, oak, alcohol and tart dark fruits. There’s an almost oak and lactic tartness in there that’s faint and actually kind of pleasant. Taste is sweet and malty up front with barely enough roast to be considered a stout. Lots of oak and vanilla sent me searching the website to see if this is barrel aged? Tart dark fruits and lactose sweetness come through in the flavor as well. Medium body with a medium to light level of carbonation and a sweet slick mouthfeel. Nice brew kind of an oak aged milk almost stout. Very flavorful but could use a bit more roast in the mix.
