3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 mcox90 (1100) - Wilton, USA - DEC 19, 2011
22 oz bottle. Pours dark copper, like an old penny with a 1/2" off white head. Aroma is caramel, roasted malt and wheat. Flavor is heavy on the caramel malt, almost akin to a Doppelbock. A little bit of wheat and fruit. Smooth moderate body with low carbonation. Good, but not what I was expecting.

bomber into my weizen glass. cloudy deep amber color with some bubbles coming up. aroma is bran cereal with a little brown sugar and grass. Taste is a light yeast with banana in the end. don;t know this style well so this could be a great example of the style. It is another easy drinking offering from blue hills
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 SuIIy (1877) - Natick, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 10, 2012
Bottle. Pours a light brown color with almost no head. Nose is lightly nutty with some maple and brown sugar notes. Palate is lightly fizzy with a tingly mouthfeel. Flavors of nuts, brown sugar. Fairly simple, not offensive, but simple and easy.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jkwood04 (1401) - Connecticut, USA - JUN 18, 2011
22oz bottle in a weizen glass. Pours amber/brown with a lingering, cream-colored head. Aroma of wheat, light roasted notes, and some hops but not a lot. Flavor about the same with the malts more prominent. Average texture. A decent beer.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 ElDuderino (183) - Hyde Park, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 7, 2011
On tap, 5 gallon keg from the brewery. Pours a hazy caramel body that is more golden than brown. Nice creamy tan head with some retention and lots of frothe. Nose is sweet and malty with some butter and raisin notes, and the mouthfeel is pleasantly thick, without being heavy. Lots of the wheat beer yeasty weight. The flavors have up front notes of caramel and dry grass, with the malty notes on the cusp of turning darker and richer but not quite making it. The beer finishes with a little dry chocolate malt, but still seems a little wet. The hops shore up the messiness a lot, but are otherwise non-existant in the flavor. This brew is really driven by the yeast, which is delicious, and everything I want a dunkel to be.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 davidm (1359) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JAN 9, 2011
On tap. Very nice and aromatic. Aromas of ginger, caramel, and spice. Taste is sweet, with average length. Palate is oily, with a medium body. Amber, cloudy, with no head.

A very hazy light brown wheat beer. Good head and carbonation. Apparently bottled conditioned. Light spicy aromas. Flavor is lightly roasty, and quite interesting. Not your typical banana and clove, but more malty. The 6.9 is perhaps more than your usual dunkelweizen. Very good.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 AirForceHops (1116) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 15, 2010
On tap at Sunset Grill, pored into a Weizen. Light caramel and Wheat nose. The taste is very much like a true German Dunkle. Nice hefe dark caramel flavor. Nice light mouth feel, I almost wanted it to be a little more full- bodied. Overall smooth and enjoyable brew.

Pours hazy brown into weizen. Tan head wit medium retention. Butterscotch aromas. Sour caramel, candy corn and butterscotch upfront...not sure this is intended. Flavor tends to dusty chocolate in the finish which is an improvement.
