1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Sour, watery, only some slight reminders of hops and malt. Maybe okay if it's ice cold, so that you don't actually get to feel the taste.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
330 ml can available just about everywhere in HK. Got mine at Wui Lung Food Wholesale in Shek Wu Hui, Sheung Shui.
Light golden urine colour; Razor-thin head and residual soapy white foam which fades in 10 seconds; Small sticky lacing and active carbonation; Quite pungent smell of malt, with very strong rice, light corn syrups, light bread, light lemon and faint grass; Light sweet taste of thin malt, with rice, chalk dust, shades of syrups, wet cardboard notes, light bread, and very light lemony grassy hops; Light body, close to watery palate; Mouth feel is typical East Asian macros with little pluses and minuses here and there: malt is lightweight but has a fairly okay feel, lots of rice adjunct, sweetness is thankfully very light, off taste is quite minimal. There’s even some lowly bready taste, slightly better than I remembered then and expected now… Hoppiness is very light but pretty lemony and low grassy in nose and taste. Faint notes of bitterness which contribute little for a void non-finish; Slightly dry after taste, pretty easy to mouth.
Comments: I remembered how I spent my youth on many freezing cold winter nights of yester years, watching Champions League’s group stage matches with big bag of chips on one hand, and a can of Blue Ice on the other, that was long before I became a beer taster and drinking it was merely a mean to an end. How time has flown… Back to the rating: this is below average because of so much adjunct rice in it and its mute chalky taste is numbing. Other than that, when being compared to many Chinese and Japanese macros, it’s maltyer and slightly richer, less sweet and hoppier, and mute off-tastes. Drinkable at sub-zero temperature, I am glad I’ve finally slayed this ugly dragon and move on!

0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Can - 500ml. Boring blonf body with heavy carbonation and a quickly fading white bubbly head. Thin, bland malty/hoppy aroma with bready and some subtle, weird chemical/soapy hints. Its bad, watery taste carries metallic, wet bread, and rotten herbs notes. Ends with a short corny finish. Useless.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
From my girlfriend’s parents who acquired a 4 pack of this in HK: Pours super pale with a frothy white head. Aroma is grain and barely anything mostly. Taste is much the same. There is a faint beer taste, but mostly it is like drinking dirty, slightly alcoholic water. I drank two of these pretty easily, but I don’t think I have any real desire to finish the 4 pack any time soon.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Golden colour with a small white head. Sweet malt aroma. Weak flavour that if you are kind could be said to be malt.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottled 330ml. -as Blue Ice Beer Ice Filtered, brought by a friend from Hong Kong. Pale golden coloured, small white head, hint of malt and rice in the nose. Watery, rice and light caramel/cardboard taste with mild sweet finish. Not offensive just too watery. 5.0%

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle from Ogi, no idea where he got it. "Ice Filtered", 0.33l bottle, 5% alcohol. No info online on what had happened with the recipe, if that’s a new beer or whatever. It only says it’s distributed by the Hong Kong SM, absolutely no mention if somebody else is a brewer.
Anyway, it poured a golden body with lovely and lively carbonation. Lasting head. Sourish malty nose, some rice .Strange (yet seeing where it comes from, expected) smooth grainy, ricey crappy malty taste, some alcohol, sweet and dry. Nice mouthfeel, crappy taste.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Small white head quickly disappears. Clear coppery body. Light floral toffee aroma. Sweetish sugary paper taste. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, slightly flat mouthfeel. After a while it feels coarse. Dryish cardboard and toffee aftertaste with herbal perfumy jasmine notes. Bland, but faintly unpleasant. (0.33l bottle, from Wellcome, Lohas Park, Hong Kong.)
