This is one of our interpretations of a double IPA. Brewed with CTZ, Chinook, and Simcoe. Showcasing a heavily resinous profile.

On tap at the brewery. This was one of many samples I had during a visit to the brewery. These guys brew great beers. Although I do not remember the specifics for each one they were all above average in all categories. You can’t go wrong with any of the Blue Lobster brews.

Hazy orange with a solid white fluffy head Smells like grapefruit and dragon fruit. Very juicy on the nose Wow. Holy crap. Big juicy citrus, chewy dank pine bark and a very dry earthy finish. Holy moly. Wow. Medium body, very impressive

Taster at the source. Pours a orange amber color with a slight white head. Aroma is grapefruit mango and slight caramel malts. Taste is again with tropical fruits and a nice earthy bitter finish... Solid.

Growler schlepped back from the seacoast by my brother in law, thanks for the opportunity Dave! Pours a deep amber color with a decent white head that slowly recedes before leaving some spotty lace on the sides. Smells of pine and resin with a hint of green onion. Bits of bread and caramel peak out of the nose as well as a fleeting hint of alcohol when swirled in the glass. The flavor starts off with a solid bready caramel malt backbone that quickly surrenders to an assault of resinous dankness. Moderate bitterness fly’s in midway to finish and lingers long after every sip. Medium body with a light level of carbonation and a bitter resinous mouthfeel. This is a nice double IPA, I enjoyed it. The bitterness is at times harsh, that could be dialed down a little bit, but I’d buy a glass of this.

Pours a glowing orange golden color with a fluffy foamy four finger foam that laces and rocks for the duration of the beer. The aromas are huge and very hop forward; sticky sappy resinous pine, traces of pineapple and some nice sweet caramel backbone. The palate is aggressive and full of big earthy woodsy hop notes... touches of tropical fruit and citrus but definitely not a juicy hop profile. Great round full mouthfeel with dialed in carbonation. Delicious Stuff !

Growler refill from the source for $9. Pours a dark golden orange with a fluffy, snowy white head one finger in length. Aromas of lemon zest straight-up, followed by pineapple, peach syrup, wine lees, papaya, and pear skins. Awesome; off to a great start! Tastes of American hops, pineapples, earthiness, and lemons by swallow. Definitely want more. Soft and wonderful.
