3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewery. This was one of many samples I had during a visit to the brewery. These guys brew great beers. Although I do not remember the specifics for each one they were all above average in all categories. You can’t go wrong with any of the Blue Lobster brews.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Very light golden yellow fluffy white head. Nose is wheat, spice and honey with a touch of nectarines. Big mouthfeel with coriander and bitter orange peel. Very nice dry finish. Pretty much exactly to the style but a bit spicy.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Taster @ the brewpub. Aroma consists of rustic malt with floral and herbal notes with some yeast. Taste is a complex mix between some rustic malt notes with some floral undertones and nice yeasty wheat component. Notes of wild flowers and fresh cut grass. Body is light and refreshing. I would drink this again and worth the growler. Nice job!!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Taster at the source. Pale semi opaque yellow with a fluffy white head. Smell is malty and German hops. Taste is very pilsner-esque... Again with the German hops and a bit of straw. Dry finish.

First tried at Blue Lobster last Fri with lukaduke. I decided to get a swingtop growler refill. To wine glass, it pours an amber nectar orange: trim snowy white head two fingers which gradually sank to just half a pinky in length. Honestly, this is too much like a Witbier: to me, this is precisely too wheat and orange peel forward for my palate; yeast, and lemongrass are noticeable, too. It’s crisp, and refreshing, but it’s as if I’m consuming a Wit, a hoppy Wit, mind you, but a Wit nonetheless. I’m pleased I got the opportunity to try, but this is with out a doubt my least favorite Blue Lobster beer. Didn’t speak to me.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy orange kissed straw color with a finger of foam that settles out quickly. On the nose its got some rustic yeasty dough, citrus, fuji apple and some peppery spice. On the palate it follows the nose with lots of fruity esters, pineapple, citrus, honey and a nice balance of rustic peppery spice. Great flavor profile but a touch round on the mouthfeel with a slight lack of carbonation.
