1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Thanks to Janni & Rasmus for bringing this can all the way from Mauritius during their honeymoon. Odense Prestige tasting at Jens. Clear offyellow look with fast head and aroma/flavor of corn, malt, good metal, some weak hops and not bad for an international pilsner if tasted very cold close to 0 degrees Celcius.

Bottle from an off license in Enfield. Somewhat corny lager, high abv well hidden making it drinkable enough.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle - pours deep golden with a lightly off white head which soon fizzles away, weak lacing. Aroma of malts, pine, caramel and some alcohol. Taste is malty and sweet with a dry caramel ending. Dense waxy body with a light carbonation. It was a lot better than I had anticipated.

330ml bottle (Birofilia2014, Zywiec)
Papery aroma, starch, glue. Tastes almost identical, but a bit of sweetness too. Mauritius - not one of the great beer nations.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a clear golden color, topped with average white head. Retention is OK.
The aroma is very weak, almost non-existant. Some malts, that’s it.
The taste is light and quite watery. Sweet throughout with hardly any bitterness.

Gylden lys brun klar med tynt hvitt skum. Lukter klorvann, smaker dårlig hjemmebrent med hint av korn og malt. Ettersmak bare sprit.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Usual lager for people who know the taste of several beers. Quite good, but not something that you will remember forever. It is a tasty beer thinking that is brewed in a small island like Mauritius. Impressive color, full taste, but all lager beers have almost the same taste. i believe that Blue Marlin is a little bit better than the other famous beer of Mauritius: Phoenix.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a clear golden colour with a medium size white head. Aroma of hay, grass and maize. Light sweetness and bitterness. Quite thin, average carbonation. Doesn’t really seem a 6% ABV beer.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Simple one with some rice and lots of water. Very thin with a bit of grains in the end. Would not take a second one.
