Cask at Barton Arm 10th Anniversary fest; dark brown pour with thin soapy off white head, caramel and fruity aroma, very fruity hop taste detect orange, some caramel and a bitter finish.

Room temp bottle. Huge head for a British beer. Smells sweet and malty. Tastes very mild, watery, little lemon towards the finish and not much bitterness. Nothing fantastic, but drinkable enough. Listed as a porter … it’s quite dark coloured, but it’s not a porter.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown colour with a red tint and a good white head, malty aroma with some fruit, the taste is lightly bitter with fruit and a hint of coffee, with a dry finish.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s, Team Valley, Gateshead. Very dark brown with red highlights. It has chocolate, nut and roasted flavours with oak on the finish.

Reddish dark in colour, aroma is coffee like, overall taste is creamy with some roasted malts

Cask @ Fitz, S/land. A great session beer, slight sulphur aroma but otherwise a very enjoyable pint

bottle pouring deep reddish brown with full beige lasting head . aroma of red berry fruits and malts . sweetish taste to start with increasing bitterness medium carbonation mouthfeel more watery than expected not a porter and not a mild either

Pours a reddish brown. Berry and raisin malt. Molasses. A nutty, dry finish.

Bottle pours a very dark red brown colour with a frothy brown short-lasting head. Aroma is malty with roasted notes, molasses, and some dark fruits. Taste is of treacle and a solid sweetness, a matured Christmas pudding and a modest bitterness.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Reddish-brown pour with a beige head. Chocolate and dark fruit aroma. Dark fruit and raisin flavour. Bitter and dry. Quite pleasant.
