Cask (Pint Shop, Cambridge)
Nice chocolatey aroma. Brown husky aspects. Dark ruby, small tight head. Simple palate, quite dry and bitter. Not so refreshing. On the board as a mild, but I think this is more old-school porter. Palate a little harsh. A bit too drying.

Better than some of this type but it illustrates the gap in the brewery’s range: Guerilla standard no; Ape hardly; Infinity no. But good enough to watch Chelsea

Bottle 50cl from Ollie thanks. A clear amber red beer with low head. Nose is on caramel and hops resin. Aroma is on caramel, hops resin, honey, light berries, orange and orange peel, refreshing, light chocolate. For a porter the dark malt notes are a bit shy. Finish is more on grassy hops, more like an english bitter with a touch of licorice, nice.
