1st August 2012 Cask at the Craft. Clear gold beer, tidy white head. Smooth palate with mild fine carbonation. A little creamy malt supports really good hops. Lovely tangy orange and tangerine with glorious tropical fruits, peach and mango and others, even some red berries. Really nice mix of hop flavours. Finsihes semi dry. Infinity was my new Blue Monkey high just a few mins ago but I’m knocked sideways by this - great stuff!

Cask conditioned at The Wellington, Birmingham. Gold with white head. A very fine beer this, crisp, hoppy with a tangy lime like note, sharp, citrusy and full. I really enjoyed this, it left a lasting and pleasing taste. Great stuff.

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2011 Cask conditioned handpump Wellington Birmingham. A golden beer with a white head. This is one of those strong hoppy English goldens which has some cloying notes although to be fair that is reasonably short lived. The good hops then come through and overtake the sickliness. It’s a good beer but probably needs a better malt base. Score 3.4 Subsequent rating scored 3.7. Average becomes 3.5

Cask, handpump at The Silkmill, Derby 30-01-10 in company of Loz, Simon (Haddonsman) my dad and Pauline I understand from reading some local CAMRA publications that relatively new beer has already won an award in the strong bitter category at a recent East Midlands Festival so I was keen to try this as the Blue Monkey Beers I’ve tried so far have been lovely. Pours warm gold edging towards a very light amber difficult to be precise in the light of this pub. Some pleasant mineral type flavours on the tongue, with a good smattering of tingly hoppiness, its clean, very, very drinkable and another belter from Blue Monkey. A7 A5 F7 P4 Ov14 3.7
