On cask. Appearance: light yellow, small white head. Aroma: light lemon, sweet, mildly hopped, quite mellow, almost a lemonade/shandy aroma. Flavour: decently hopped, lemon peel, really great citrus, refreshing hoppy finish. Simple and delightful.

Polished clear gold colour, bright white head. Looks good. Citrus aroma, slight tropical fruit notes and a tad musty. Lots of tropical fruit flavours, melon, peach, passion fruit, some honey sweetness. Good condition. Very good session ale.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAY 17, 2012 Cask conditioned Handpump Swan & Rushes Leicester. A bright gold coloured beer with a whitish head and lacing. This is a lovely hoppy beer with fresh notes throughout. A bit of orange and grapefruit with a good malt backbone. Fresher and more pleasant in the mouth than the nose, but both elements are good. Nice. Score 3.6
Subsequent ratings scored 3.4 and 3.7. Average unaltered

7 Lovely sweet fruity hops, citrussy, reminded me of some fresh EKG I got my hands on recently.
4 Bold gold, persistent loose head
7 Well balanced - soft light grains and decent biting citrus hop.
4 Soft palate, nice carbonation. Finish both milky grains and ginger.
13 Strange to give this 3.5, but in simple terms, it has no flaws - it’s a great bitter.
