Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate hoppy, lemon, grapfruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light light heavy bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100117]

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2010 The Silk Mill. Jammy dodgers with peach filling, Rich Tea dunked in Darjeeling, tinned peaches on cream crackers. Floral and musky hop aroma. Pale gold and lacy. Peach and apricot juiciness, cream and biscuit. Very definitely a brewery on my beerdar.

Cask, handpump at The Silkmill, Derby 30-01-10 in company of Loz, Simon (Haddonsman) my dad and Pauline Pours mid gold in colour with a thin white head and good clarity. Big hop aroma. Golden coloured fruity hoppy and floral with a little dryness and bitterness in a crisp malt finish.

Cask conditioned handpump Silk Mill Derby. A light golden beer with a whitish head. Pleasant lemony hops throughout which is especially good in the nose. In the mouth there is some sweetness and a good malt backbone to balance those hops. A tasty sessionable beer.
