Big amarillo nose. Lovely juicy aroma. Malt generally overwhelmed by big dose of hops, which ensure a long bitter finish. Lovely.

On cask at The Townhouse Pub’s 10th Annual Beer Festival, Ely. A golden ale with a fair white head. Aroma of toffee and caramel. Tastes quite sweet with malt, toffee, caramel, candy sugar and barley flavours. A little resinous with a fruity hop linger.

From cask at Blackfriars. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head, leaving a nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild fruity. Crisp hoppy, fruity and mild toasted malt flavoured. Smooth bitter and toasted finish.

Cask gravity at The Bell Inn, Ivychurch, Kent. Dark gold, some haze, lasting thin white head. Earthy hop aroma, bit young in mouth. Good beer though, drinkable. Good stinging finish.

Cask, Derby Fest 10. Golden with a thin head. Aromas are grain, peach and grapefruit. Floral and grassy with some apple. Flavours are sweet jammy citrus with nutty, fruity hops. Biscuit malts with a spicy and dry finish. Refreshing.

Cask (handpump) at the Great British Beer Festival Day 2, August 2009. Gold. Some light hop. Some citrus. Nothing wrong with it but not too interesting. At a festival awash with similar beers, this one was fairly middle-of-the road. More evolution (in the hoppy direction) required.

Cask @ GBBF 2009. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity citrus hoppy aroma with some hints of caramel. Sweetish malty fruity citrus hoppy flavor. Has a fruity citrus hoppy finish with some hints of caramel in the aftertaste.
