Cask at the Craft Beer Co in Clerkenwell on 5th October 2012. Almost black with thinnish dying head and no lace. Richly caramelly and fruity aroma. Very fruity and somewhat herby in-mouth, with touches of nuttiness, alcohol and cherries. Malty and fruity end with berry fruits lingering. Light, clingy mouthfeel and medium body.

Bottle. Lots of liquorish. Smokey. Black in colour. Oily in the mouth. Very nice but a real winter warmer I would guess.

Cask at the Wellington. Quite a slippery, rather, well slightly hoppy stout. Some crunch charcoal. A bit too cold.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2012 This was a special version aged in whisky cask. Nice head, love the whisky overtones, rich flavour, with plenty of depth. Definitely one to try again and again.

Way too bitter for me and needs something to balance it out. I had eaten a massive curry before hand though ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at GBBF 2011. Great pump clip. Pours brown-black with a bubbly, tan head. Rich mocha aroma, decent roast. Nice flavor, some dry roast, light smoke. Medium sweet with some minerality. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sweet finish, brown sugar, light mocha, light tang. Very good beer. Im happy to drink this.
