Hand pulled at the Pretty Bricks, Walsall. Brown bitter. Creamy mouthfeel and buttery choc nut flavour. Gently tasty. Not much scent.

Cask, Swan & Rushes, Leicester. Copper coloured with a beige foam. Aromas are Autumn leaves with chocolate and dark berries. Dusty yeast with burnt toast notes. Melon with some nuttiness. Flavours are toasted, nutty malts with raisins and leafy, dry hops. Melon with a spicy, dry finish. Not bad.

Cask, The Criterion, Leicester. Copper-edged brown with an off-white halo. Bright hop aroma typical of The Monkey: lychee in this case. Perfumey lychee hop over a molten crunchie base, brown toast, nut husk. Balanced, lovely drop. God bless The Monkey.
