Inspired by our brewmaster’s travels through Mexico, our limited summer release is crafted with agave nectar for a subtle sweetness and a smooth, crisp finish.

Well, it’s not terrible. Had a bottle at home. Pours a nice color for a wheat, actually. Had an orange/ coppery tint and a decent head. Bit of haze to it, nice cabonation. The agave kind of ruins it- too strong. I suppose mass produced beers have to play to the sweet loving palate. The wheat is actually nice. Needs some hoppiness. And finish is strange. Almost decent.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold, with a big, bubbly, off-white head. The aroma is honey, melons, strong floral notes, and some light esters. Very sweet flavor, with little balance. Light to medium body, slightly creamy, and a little acerbic. Overall, this is a pretty nice, flavorful, and drinkable beer, but it comes across a little too strong on the fruity aromas, and is much too sweet.

Just a little bit higher then average whet ale. I’m not a fan of agava so this aroma was not for me. Overall, drinkable and refreshing

Bottle. Tastes sweet, malty, like light fruit and cucumber. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like cool crisp cucumber and malt.

BBD 8/25/14. Clear light amber (golden) pour with a fair head and lacing. Retention is normal. Light aroma of biscuit and wheat over a slight honey sweetness. Light medium body with a not quite smooth texture. Normal carbonation with a bit of effervescence on the finish. The flavor profile is rather nice in a subtle fashion and well balanced. It begins with biscuit then flows into a subtle agave sweetness. The finish is smooth.

From bottle. Moderate gold color, no head. Nondescript nose. Nondescript taste. Didn’t get much from the agave. Must not have plunked the right citrus fruit into the glass.

Was expecting more from the agave, nothing much seems to be going on here. Macro brewery crap

Bottle. Deep golden color, clear, medium head with light lacing that fades quickly. Malty aroma. Medium body with a slight sweet aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle at my sisters. Pours a clear golden color with a thick frothy off white head. Aroma of yeast, sweet grain, plastic, and honey. Taste is grainy and yeasty, with notes of honey and sweet fruit.

DATE TASTED: February 22, 2014... GLASSWARE: Weihenstaphaner weizen .. OCCASION: final night to cheer on our winter Olympians... APPEARANCE: copper-gold body with uneven effervescence; thin, off-white head presents no immediate thickness; no tracing = not inviting... AROMA: pungent,, malty; tougher to pick out thee agave--comes across more as a candied apple...PALATE: a bit dry; slight, oily mouthfeel--drinkable but indistinguishable...TASTE: tangy, metallic aftertaste; malty, syrupy sweet; some fruity, lemony wheatgrass too; rather bland, however, like an original Blue Moon that got itself confused at the factory... OVERALL: I feared this review--not interested in slamming tonight--and yet the beer did not repulse as its first summer sampling had--only wet my lips and slightly refreshed my thirst...did the delayed rating weaken its taste? ...
