2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A buttoned down, sensible beer thatís chalked with wheat and surrenders at the sight of hops. The consistency is milky and frothy, as you would expect from the hands at Blue Moon, and gives little to the imagination. The sweetness from the agave is negligible (take that how you will) and the whole body of the this blonde ale is about as interesting as a blank canvas.

12oz bottle at my sisters. Pours a clear golden color with a thick frothy off white head. Aroma of yeast, sweet grain, plastic, and honey. Taste is grainy and yeasty, with notes of honey and sweet fruit.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
DATE TASTED: February 22, 2014... GLASSWARE: Weihenstaphaner weizen .. OCCASION: final night to cheer on our winter Olympians... APPEARANCE: copper-gold body with uneven effervescence; thin, off-white head presents no immediate thickness; no tracing = not inviting... AROMA: pungent,, malty; tougher to pick out thee agave--comes across more as a candied apple...PALATE: a bit dry; slight, oily mouthfeel--drinkable but indistinguishable...TASTE: tangy, metallic aftertaste; malty, syrupy sweet; some fruity, lemony wheatgrass too; rather bland, however, like an original Blue Moon that got itself confused at the factory... OVERALL: I feared this review--not interested in slamming tonight--and yet the beer did not repulse as its first summer sampling had--only wet my lips and slightly refreshed my thirst...did the delayed rating weaken its taste? ...

A little sweet from the agave not much else going on. Typical crap from a macro brewery pretending to be a micro.

It poured a golden color. The aroma was of honey and wheat. The taste was more sweet honey with wheat and biscuits.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Pours pale gold with minimal head. Nose was hopcitrus, mild agave. Light palate heft and complexity, with some hops, pale malt, and a smidgen of tequila flavor. Meh.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
This brew is extremely underwhelming. Thereís surprisingly little taste. The agave nectar creates a bit of sweetness but thatís about all there is to say about it. Certainly not a full-flavored beer but at least itís not offensive. Thatís more than you can say of some of Blue Moonís other beers.

Sweet and wheaty mixed together donít really work for me. The beer is much sweeter than others of this line, and it just isnít good.
