Really sweet sugary version of Blue Moon’s wheat beer. I recommend sticking with the original.

Aroma of agave and malt. Taste is sweet and musty malty. Overly sweet. Interesting but not my thing.

On draft at GABF. Entering old notes. Pours a mostly clear yellow with a white head. Nose is slight agave, some bread, some light citrus. Flavor is similar with light agave/ tequila, some mild bread, and some candied orange. Mild flavor and light body.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Clear blonde color with white head. Aroma of slightly musty caramel candy malt. Taste is sweet and lightly carbonated. If you like soda and tolerate beer and are looking to consume some alcohol this is a good way to do it without having to consume something repugnant.

12 ounce bottle. Tea colored with a little foam and a little carbonation visible. Agave is tasted to be seems to be natural. Decent stuff.

Bottle: included in the summer assortment case. Pours light amber with a strong white head. Aroma of citrus and agave. Taste of strong agave and some honey. Ok, but the flavors and sweetness are a little to much for me.

1.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Can. Pours clear light orange with a very frothy white head. Aroma is fruity, sweet, wheat, earthy. Taste is sweet upfront with a astringent bitterness on the finish, light bodied. Overall, it is repulsive. Maybe one of the worst brews ever.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours clear golden color with a 2-finger white head, and a notable effervescence along the glass. Light citrusy aroma with a touch of black pepper. Body is light and mildly oily. Sweet fruity flavor with a touch of earthiness that lingers a bit at the back.

"Best of the Blue Moons (perhaps). In a small quantity, I even like it a little. But by the end of a bottle or pint, the wimpy fizzy body and lack of anything resembling complexity just doesn’t hols up. What at first is fruity and refreshing gets old fast. A session type micromacro such as this should be the exact opposite - able to enjoy in large quantities."

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
As my score shows a very middle of the road beer. Pour is golden with a small white head. Aroma is lite and fresh with some sweetness. Flavor is just ok kind of blue moon lacking the coriander.

Transfer from BA review on 4-24-13-
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – Pours a deep golden/light amber color with a one finger white head. The head fades very fast leaving only a light level of lace on the side of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is mainly of a bready nature mixed with some sweeter fruit like smells almost of a prickly pear and cactus smell giving a rather pleasant smell overall.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweeter flavor of citrus mixed with a good dose of a wheaty and bready taste. Flavors of honey (and maybe agave,;l again I am not 100 % sure what this should taste like so..) come to the tongue shortly after with some of the bready flavors dwindling a bit. The honey mixed with the wheat flavors are rather nice and with the sweeter citrus flavor end up leaving a sweet and smooth flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel-The body of the brew is on the slightly creamier side for a brew of only 5.6 % with a carbonation level that is rather average. It is nice for the sweeter and wheaty flavors of the brew and furthermore help accentuate the smoothness of the brew.
Overall – A bit on the sweeter side but not bad as the honey and wheat go nicely together. Well worth a try for its modest price.
