If you want something not-too-expensive and pretty-good tasting, I recommend this particular ale.

(Bottle) A very citrusy beer. Some serious lemon aroma on this one. Maybe good for a hot summer day (I would prefer it to most light lagers) but I think this one’s a pass.

I wouldn’t necessarily consider Blue Moon a craft beer. With that being said, it’s about the closest you can possibly get to it. Great beer overall, smooth taste, and an amazing aroma

Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Aroma of yeast and orange with a flavor to match. Nothing off putting but nothing extraordinary. Sessionable.

Pours orange with nice head. Generous banana split nose. Lacking body but refreshing in summer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Into its own glass it produces up a misty, highly effervescent yet headless sunny orange. Aroma is dominated by lemon zest, lemon cordial concentrate, buttered white bread and something reminiscent of overly ripe, fell cumquat. Watery thin and smeared by a carbonic acid bite that is unshakeable. Cardboardy malts dominate the mid-palate whilst it leans towards sour malts in the finish. Crisp, short-lived, thankfully. There is a hint of sherbet in there. Nothing really here at all. Forgettable! (12fl.Oz, BB 29/09/14, Dan Murphy’s, Currambine)

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

One of those getaway beers. Had this many times during my transition. Friendly and inviting in just about every way. Plenty of character without being the least bit aggressive. Not really craft but not a bad beer.

I always thought blue moon tastes like toothpaste. It’s not bad, it’s one of those beers that isn’t really ever bad and with an orange it’s pretty refreshing. Not my favorite because of that toothpaste taste but it’s not the worst out there by any means.
