Brewed with oats for creaminess and spiced with the perfect combination of orange peel and coriander.
An unfiltered wheat ale spiced in the Belgian tradition for an uncommonly smooth taste.

Hazy yellow pour with a 2 finger head. Very light banana aroma. Taste is a light touch of spice up front (coriander?) with some lemon and grassy flavor afterwards. Thin mouth feel. Overall this is a decent bridge between light lagers and the craft ales this is supposed to mimic.

Pours a cloudy burnt orange color with very little head. The aroma is yeasty. Maybe a little funky. There’s a cooked cabbage thing going on. The flavor is better than the aroma. It’s like a diluted version of a pretty average wheat beer. The label mentions orange and coriander. I don’t pick up on that. I was given a case of this as a surprise gift, and over the course of a few weeks I drank the whole case. I didn’t dump out one single bottle. So, no, it ain’t great. But it ain’t awful.

(Bottle) A very citrusy beer. Some serious lemon aroma on this one. Maybe good for a hot summer day (I would prefer it to most light lagers) but I think this one’s a pass.

I wouldn’t necessarily consider Blue Moon a craft beer. With that being said, it’s about the closest you can possibly get to it. Great beer overall, smooth taste, and an amazing aroma

Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Aroma of yeast and orange with a flavor to match. Nothing off putting but nothing extraordinary. Sessionable.

Into its own glass it produces up a misty, highly effervescent yet headless sunny orange. Aroma is dominated by lemon zest, lemon cordial concentrate, buttered white bread and something reminiscent of overly ripe, fell cumquat. Watery thin and smeared by a carbonic acid bite that is unshakeable. Cardboardy malts dominate the mid-palate whilst it leans towards sour malts in the finish. Crisp, short-lived, thankfully. There is a hint of sherbet in there. Nothing really here at all. Forgettable! (12fl.Oz, BB 29/09/14, Dan Murphy’s, Currambine)

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
