craftycarl21 (91), USA Mar 18, 2008 this is a nice witbier. had it many times but this is the first time since creating my ratebeer account. very drinkable with a nice mouthfeel, positive lingering sensation. flavor is unique compared to other belgian whites, more of a spiced complexion. tasty, not even close to others in the category like hacker pschorr or hoegaarden, but nonetheless a good one to put down. very solid considering its availability.
BlackMail (42), Evergreen, Colorado, USA Jul 5, 2008 Poured cloudy with no head. Aroma is sweet. Taste crisp and citrus. Bland and boring overall. BlockBrew (48), West Lafayette, Indiana, USA Jul 5, 2008 A nice witbier. Overall nicely balanced with a nice orange flavor that is emphasized with a citrus hop finish. I can’t drink a lot of seasonal or highly flavored beers, but this is a nice change of pace. Baumgartner (24), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA Jul 1, 2008 Bottle poured to glass. A moderatly well hopped brew that smelt of citrus and a slight yeasty sourdough smell. Hazy orangish, yellow brew with a creamy white head of 1 fingers width that disipates quickly. A wonderfully sweet initial flavor with a light acidic, bitter after taste of citrus fruits. A very well balance beer. I declinded the orange garnish b/c It is not beer. $ 3.25 @ The stones throw renffisch (349), london, Greater London, England Jun 29, 2008 Served with a slice of orange? nice touch i guess, but i’m not a fan of booze with "vegetables"... Offish citric yeast smell. Orangey hazy look with a thin white head. Very watery and tasteless. very drinkable, since theres nothing there to dislike, and then theres always the dodgy bit of orange.... Bhops (138), Dallas, Texas, USA Jun 28, 2008 can’t believe I haven’t rated this yet. Not a bad beer for a macro brewery and a decent introduction to the world of beers.
