This beer was one of my first forays into beers besides Miller and Bud. I know itís not sophisticated and very much mainstream, but I do enjoy it now and again.

Looks like hazy apple juice with a little white head. Aroma is oatmeal and orange. Taste is fresh sourness but with a grainy sweetness and a dusty character in the finish. Rather undercarbonated, not very good.

Branded Belgian Moon in Canada. Kind of looks like pee smells a bit fruity and tastes a bit of orange, a lively carbonation, pretty bland wheat flavour overall.

I was apprehensive about this seeing that it was recommended to be served with an orange slice, which seemed like a way of playing down an essentially inferior tasting beer. Wanted to give it a go though, and find out what their interpretation of a Belgian wheat beer was like. This beer pours an aesthetically beautiful cloudy orange beer with a smooth white head. Unfortunately thatís the best thing about it and the drinking experience is all downhill. Aroma is zesty, and the head tastes of orange peel but synthetic. First taste was rather unpleasant and a bit strange, but when I proceeded to drink the flavour seems to become better with acquaintance. Not much going on with the palate, thereís some orange peel flavour and itís quite yeast-y. The beer is unfiltered but not much sediment was present. Itís fairly dry and not as smooth as purported on the label, otherwise itís alright and not too watery. Finish is an an astringent artificial zest. Approaching the bottom of the glass it was enjoyable but at a lacklustre level, so Iíd say that it was tolerable. Pretty unimpressive beer, itís probably one of those that Iíd session drink without thinking too much about it. It does have a nice label though so the aesthetic is probably the peak of pleasure in regards to this beer

Pours very hazy pale gold with a white head that leaves some spotty lacing.† Aroma is a muted coriander and wheat.† Taste is orange and wheat. Smooth mouthful with low carbination. A good simple beer.†

Bottle, 0.35l. Hazy yellow colour with decent sized white head. Lively carbonation. Citrus and wheat aroma. Taste of orange, wheat and some herbs. Moderate bitter aftertaste. Overall decent brew.

This was my first Belgian White and the second type of beer that I drank at a recent wedding. Itís relatively light but has good taste and is smooth. It was easy to drink and enjoyable but not a style that I would add to my favorites.

Not much you can say about blue moon that hasnít already been said. Itís a lovely drink. Nothing complex. Just a wee fizz, light head. Nice with a slice of orange for a double citrus buzz.
