Aroma of a hint of blackberries and maybe raspberries. Brownish purple pour with large white head. Flavor is very muted, sugary and kind of blah. Not much in the finish but more sugar.

The aroma was better than the taste. Not a bad fruit beer, but not as refreshing or sweet as the agave beer.

12oz twist-off bottle, Summer Mixed 12 pk. Light brown color, with a touch of purple hue. White ring of foam. Aroma of sugar & blackberry puree, like a blackberry pie. Smell could pass for a Fruit Lambic; very sugary, very tart. Taste is full of fruit, some earthy wheat malt. Finishes sweet. Light bodied. I sense a headache coming after too many of these. Just too sweet for me. (3664)

Bottle. Sweet malt, caramel malt, light blackberry flavor, and very little tartness. I guess itís okay, but still pretty bland.

I had higher expectations given the name. I wanted more tart and more blackberry, but this is pretty mild. I do get some blackberry and raspberry, but itís hidden under some standard caramel, syrupy malt.

Bottle. Almost imperceptible watered down fruity malt aroma - definitely no blackberry. Clear deep amber with a large off-white head. LIght sweet berry and malt flavor, no significant tartness. Light body and carbonation.

I couldnít wait to taste this ale, but it was a disappointment largely because even though it says it is brewed with blackberries and raspberries, I just donít taste it. It has a pleasant color and aroma, mellow taste, but not that really distinct berry taste or the tartness described. I believe the Sam Adams Blackberry Witbier has more of a blackberry essence flavor, even though it isnít a strong berry taste either. Itís a pleasant ale, just not fantastic or what I was hoping for.

12 oz bottle from the seasonal mixed 12. Ours a translucent ruby color with a thin purplish white head. Aroma is of wheat and a subtle blackberry. Taste is loaded with blackberries and wheat. Some flowering notes as well. Good carbonation and very refreshing. This is going to be a good one for those warm summer nights.

Sampled at GABF 2012 with mRO. Pours an amber body with light head. Aroma is bland fruity malts. Mouthfeel is thin with notes of bland fruit, lager, and malts. I wanted so much more, but you left me there stranded in the rain, Blue Moon.

Sampled on 10/11/2012 at GABF. This fruit beer pours a medium amber gold color from the tap. Large sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, with some blackberry. A light to medium bodied fruity beer. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal. Some blackberry flavors, but not all that tart. Decent carbonation. Nice dry finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
