UPDATED: MAY 4, 2013 Tarty and sour but in an artificially bitter way...not the taste one hopes for...sweeter would be nice. X2

Type: 12-oz. bottle Glass: Manzanita pint glass From: Target in Mission Valley (San Diego), Calif. Price: $15.99 for the Brewmaster’s Seasonal Sampler variety 12-pack Purchased: April 17, 2013 Consumed: April 19, 2013 Misc.: N/A Poured a dark caramel amber with 2-3 fingers of khaki white frothy head. Fairly bubbly and could hear the foam bubbling. Minimal foggy lacing on the sides, average-to-above average retention on the top all the way down. Was tough to get a good whiff, really had to work for it. Got dark fruits, faint blackberries and some sweet sugary malts. Really thought there would be more here. Tasted a little more flavorful than the nose, but not that much. Got blackberry, reminding me of blackberry jam, albeit with just a small amount of jam. Some tartness on the tongue after, but not strong enough for me. Light body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish. Maybe something was wrong with this batch, but just no flavor. Very bland, nothing something I think of when I see blackberry tart.

~Wheaty aroma with corriander spice. Smells like original blue moon with slight blackberry tartness. ~Pours a clear dark amber color with quickly disappearing white head. ~Refreshing flavor of wheat, blackberry and a hint of chocolate. ~Light bodied, med high CO2, slightly creamy. Quick fruity finish. ~I like where they were going with this, just wish the cocoa and berry flavors came out more in the aroma and flavor.

12 ounce bottle. Blackberry Tart, really? If they want me to compare this to Raspberry Tart, they’re going to be pretty dismayed. Pours a dark copper color with a medium sized foamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of tart berries with a bit of caramel. The taste is tart fruits with a mild bit of cocoa. Thin-medium bodied.

Too-busy label, twistoff longneck; clear, ruddy medium brown beer; a very thin, filmy head. Sweetish, brown ale aroma, vanilla notes. Interesting, toasted cookie flavor - malty/biscuity, some cheerios, very slight jammy taste. Medium-light body, pasty mouthfeel that goes crisp at the end, medium jam and toast finish. Part of the 2013 spring seasonal mixpack, Walmart, northside.

Tallahassee, Fl - Publix Supermarkets - Blairstone - 12 oz botle - part of their Brewmasters Series. Dark copper pour, tight off-white head that sticks around a while. Brief aroma of blackberries, hint of yeast. Flavor is pleasant but very subtle with some light traces of blackberry, semi-tart, some creaminess, a hint of yeast. Mouthfeel has a nice crispness to it. Does in a pinch

Pours purple-orange into a Sam glass. Pancake head crackles as it recedes to coat surface leaving spot lacing. Hay and summer fruit aromas. Thin with sweet yeast and caramel upfront turning to bready blackberry cobbler in the middle before a lasting mildly bitter seed finish.

Aroma of a hint of blackberries and maybe raspberries. Brownish purple pour with large white head. Flavor is very muted, sugary and kind of blah. Not much in the finish but more sugar.
