Tommyp007 (27), Kingsport, Tennessee, USA Jun 14, 2009 Not bad for a mass produced Witbier. I usually get one if it’s the only "craft" beer at the restaurant, or if it’s on special on tap. Vertical Bacon Strips (874), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 14, 2009 Classic Metamucil look. Good ammount of sand grain sized sediment, a crazy ammount of carbonation and a white rocky head that produces some slippery lacing. Aroma is mild but is not bad aside from the hint of skunk very early on. The wheat and banana (mild) are softly blended and there is also some cirtus - most definetly orange - and acutally there is more citrus fruits than banana - way more (this evovles during tasting). On occasion I can notice a really dry, dusty wheat aroma. The citrus and banana are good together - I’m glad not to get a face full of that banana chip reek. Also spice is to be found - not sure what it is, but it’s not harsh or pungent. It’s a good spin and I really like it. Taste is quite plesant and highly drinkable. Mild again. Wheat, yeast and a touch of fruit (maybe even some pinapple notes tossed in the mix) . Not much to say as it’s pretty straight forward. Mouthfeel is average, just above light bodied, slight drying quality in the middle, touch of sourness sometimes. Got a tasty spicy blob of sediment/mush too. Definetly overcarbonated. Nothing too interesting here, but it sure beats getting an over-the-top bananafest. DeadGirl (192), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA Jun 14, 2009 Updated: Oct 18, 2009On tap at Mustang Harry’s (NYC): Hazy orange pour. Little to no head. The taste is always a consistent creamy luscious tasting of orange, peach, and spicy coriander. Pleasant. #016 on 14062009, DG. Mechem (13), Lima, Peru Jun 13, 2009 One of my father’s favorites so I gave it a try.
Nice orange color and crisp feel. Has a nice clean smell with hints of citrus. Goes good with an orange slice.
While I liked the taste and the look of it, I found it less smooth to drink and quite filling. I was rather bloaty after just one. I got rather uncomfortable after 2 and I dont know if this is just me, but I couldnt see myself drinking it on a night out as I looked borderline pregnant after the two I had. DalzAle (476), Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA Jun 10, 2009 Bottle. Hazy apricot pour, medium carbonation with an orange aroma. Flavor was creamy orange, peach, and finshes with some pleasant bitterness. Good beer and a nice everyday summer brew bobbypaulson (100), , Minnesota, USA Jun 10, 2009 Who hasn’t tried this beer? This is the one of the only white ales found in every bar/liquor store. Heavy carbonated with a citrus taste. Nice mouth feel just mass produced and you can taste it. I recommend you mix it with a shot of chambord it make it much more manageable. Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark Jun 9, 2009 Bottle. Average fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Cloudy golden color. Aroma of yeast, mild spice, wheat, mild banana like, fruity, citrus. Quite tasty actually. Light to medium bodied with an average carbonation. Light sweet flavor with a hint of acidic. Light citrus like finish. bradner (25), Oswego, Illinois, USA Jun 5, 2009 Taste of coriander and citrus. Little head to know head. Goes down real smooth with a mostly light mouthfeel. For the price it is not that bad.
