nickd717 (1276), Palo Alto, California, USA Dec 19, 2008 Solid offering considering it is from Coors. Refreshing but not as smooth as something like Hoegaarden, which is somehow considered the same style. Wheaty with hints of orange, some spices. Fin (3385), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Dec 18, 2008 Bottle that I found in Sainsburys, Kidlington, Oxon recently, consumed Dec 08. Pours hazy golden moving to light amber with a large white fluffy head. Nice wheaty nose with some spices and yeastiness in there. This is far better than expected and actually quite decent and refreshing. If I was being critical I suppose the spices and citrusiness which are very much in evidence are not quite subtle enough and its a little sweet but I really didnt mind it at all despite these faults. The aroma is butterscotch, orange, coriander, maybe some honey. The flavor is unsurprising, given the aroma. Butterscotch sweetness dominates, with an ungraceful spiciness around it. Drinkable, but unimpressive. gerzm22 (107), , Florida, USA Dec 14, 2008 I enjoyed this beer. I had it on tap with an orange. I really enjoy wheat beers and this was flavorful and refreshing altacyr (144), Campinas, Brazil Dec 7, 2008 Saborosa e leve, fácil de tomar. Mas falta aroma na cerveja pra combinar com sua coloração. MishkinBeer (64), , New York, USA Dec 6, 2008 This unfiltered wheat ale has an apricot hue when viewed through a glass. There’s a prominent citrus flavor present here - oranges come to mind. The consistency is a somewhat thin - perhaps a bit too watery. The brew is certainly easy to drink and tastes good - an above average beer that most people can agree on. As far as Hefeweizens go Blue Moon isn’t mind blowing, but I have yet to find a cheaper wheat ale of comparable quality. aguyintx66 (78), Humble, Texas, USA Dec 6, 2008 Tap the first time. Yellow with a thick white head. Nice taste of wheat and orange. smooth on the palate. Nice finish. berkshirejohn (1771), Bracknell, Berkshire, England Nov 30, 2008 [355ml bottle from Sainsbury’s - labelled as "North American Craft Beer" rather than "Belgian White Ale" and brewed by BMBC in Toronto.] Cloudy orange with thin white head; aroma has some citrus and some grain; flavour the same, rather soapy and floury mouthfeel. Refreshing, but nothing more.
