french tickler (642), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada Oct 5, 2008 Cloudy golden poor, small off-white head. Aromas of tangerine, yeast, resin, apple-pear. Lactose feel, medium carbonation, lightly sweet, zesty. Nice smooth citrusy goodness... far from overpowering but just nicely balanced. Very good Witbier! Gout de blé, pain et un peu de miel. tilldeath (72), Arvada, Colorado, USA Oct 2, 2008 Good wheat beer, since it’s left unfiltered it has a unique taste, that for some reason always makes me full. Can’t drink more than 3 of these in a night, but as maybe a pre BBQ beer it’s great. Light orange color, very carbonated, slightly sweet and tart, light mouthfeel. Not bad to start a night with but not the best. thewolf (5623), Kolding, Denmark Oct 2, 2008 Bottle @ Porterhouse, London.
Pours hazy and lightly pale yellow with a fine, frothy, white head. Low duration. sweet aroma, with a good dose of coriander, light vanilla, some citrus and wheat. Medium carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour is very soft, sweet wheat, light citric and a medium aftertaste of coriander. Quite a fair beer. alraicercsu (166), Ft.Collins, Colorado, USA Sep 27, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy gold color with good size head. Smells of wheat and citrus. Tastes similar. ethomson (56), Huntington Beach, California, USA Sep 26, 2008 Pours a nice deep thick bronze and gold. Great head from the tap. Very nice at first taste, hints of wheat and citrus. This had a bit of a sweet flavor to it, which was a nice little surprise. I’ve had "Shock Top" which is another Belgian White produced by Anheuser- Busch, it’s good, but it isn’t better than Blue Moon. This is a solid beer. SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA Sep 26, 2008 Golden cloudy pour with a good foamy head that lasts a while. Sweet citrus, malt, yeast and wheat in the aroma. Flavor is also sweet and citrusy, with a bit of the grain, yeast and some spice coming through. Not a great Wit, but definitely doable. jcdsmack (88), Henderson, Nevada, USA Sep 25, 2008 This is a solid Belgian wit. I often will have this if I’m out at a sportsbar or some other place that is limited in it’s beer selection. Nice thick wheatiness good color and texture. I don’t put fruit slices in my beer, but some people like it with orange.
