December 29, 2011 bottle at my buddy Dan’s house. Aroma is coriander and orange. Taste is similar with some wheat / grain. First time having this since started rating but in past remember a cloudy orange pour with some decent head.

I like the availability of this beer. I would choose it over Bud,Miller or Coors . Yes I know it is brewed by Coors

Bottle from Brass Monkey. Served with a wedge of orange. Pours hazy yellow with fully white head. Citrus and spice aroma. Balanced flavour that has a buttery richness. I find this a little sickly and the finish is a bit rough but overall a decent beer.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 CanIHave4Beers (2002) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - DEC 21, 2011
Pours super hazy and bright yellow with a medium sized white head.
Surprisingly the first thing I smelled as I brought the glass up to my nose was dead leaves, which is sort of weird and unexpected for a wit, this fades fast though leaving room for the coriander and orange to dominate the bouquet. This beer doesn’t smell like much though, honestly the beer is pretty neutral on aroma unless I really swish it around in the glass and get my nose in there. As pronounced as the aromatic spices are in the flavor of this beer I would imagine that they would be a little more detectable in the aroma, I guess not.
The flavor is almost brash with it’s use of spicing, I dig coriander and orange peel & I like them together so this isn’t much of a problem for me but it’s very obvious that the primary focus of this beer is on spices. The beer is fruity, sweet but not sticky, spicy in a yeast driven way (in addition to the spice driven flavor). The beer is mildly tart and really nicely full flavored.
Seriously though get out of here with all these super low ratings, this isn’t one of the great witbiers but it would be rated far more highly if it were from even some crappy brewpub.
2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 stravale (387) - Inverness, SCOTLAND - DEC 18, 2011
Bottle from Tesco, Forres
Orange-yellow, cloudy, bubbly white head that dissipates to thin layer, reasonable lacing
Aroma - Oranges, light spices, apricot, no hops.
Taste - Orange, some spices, buttery popcorn, muddled, quite bland, not great .
Palate - soft carb, smooth, light to medium body. Finish - quite rapid, orange, popcorn with a rather unpleasant buttery tail.
Overall - Not great, yukky buttery finish - drain pour. Disappointed with this one.

Pretty much standard for an American "Belgian". Drinkable and not bad for the price. ............,.......................,.............

Two bars in Miami.
AROMA: citrus, grass
APPEARANCE: typical witbier yellow
TASTE: light sweetness, lightly bitter, medium sourness
PALATE: medium body, slick feel, lively, abrupt finish
OVERALL: a witbier indeed, but without any character, the citrus needs to be balanced against other aromas, bit too slick which takes away the refreshing nature of witbier
