DandyWolfFloyd (331), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 3, 2008 Blue Moon Belgian White Ale very nice for a big beer company. Aroma is present. Appearance is that hazy expected hay color. Flavor is supra smooth. Palate is super mild. Beautiful, but not Hoegaarden. AerensianiC (1), USA does not count Mar 3, 2008 Blue Moon is my beer of choice. It is the the perfect beer for almost all occasions. If you get this beer get it with a slice or orange in the bottle, but nothing beats it on tap with a freshly cut orange slice in it. rlgk (3377), Vårgårda, Sweden Mar 3, 2008 Bottle. Hazy yellow/orange color, white head. Spicy, malty wheat aroma with fruity notes. Malty wheat flavor, some spices. Decent beer. RustedHalo (11), USA Mar 1, 2008 It is an absolute triumph for beer fans that this brew has become commonplace and popular. Are there better beers out there? Absolutely. Are most of those beers hard to find in broad distribution? Quite so. Pour is very typical of the style, cloudy with a modest head. The aroma comes across as a pilsener, but the flavor is distinctly that of a wheat ale. Sweet and drinkable with coriander and orange zest prominent in the finish. There is almost nothing to dislike about this beer, and it’s excellent with food. docsteigs (139), USA Feb 29, 2008 Tan and cloudy; smells sweet and wheat. Tastes nice, crisp, refreshing, sweet on finish. Nice white ale essence. greedycheater (80), Oklahoma, USA Feb 24, 2008 Light, stark and bitter nose. Yellow/golden murky presentation typical of the style. The first taste is hoppy, bitter, and rather unenjoyable. It is light and crisp on the tongue with an after taste that leaves a medium mouthfeel. Probably better with food than alone. I would say it is representative of the style, unfortunately the style does not suit my palate. cb23 (97), St. louis, Missouri, USA Feb 22, 2008 Pours a cloudy yellow with tiny white head. Smells of citrus and wheat. tastes like orange, coriander, and citrus. Not a bad wheat ale, however, I do not like additives in beer very much at all. capitalbrewer (17), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Feb 22, 2008 Pours murky tan. Cloudy. The head is sticky and creamy. Creamy mouthfeel, crisp finish. Good beer...had it without the orange, and that might’ve been for the best.
