A blend of cinnamon and nutmeg combines with roasted caramel malts and fresh apple juice for a warming, spiced taste.

Draft. Poured clear orange copper with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sweet allspice aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium smooth sweet spice flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear red-amber color with a large foamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of mild spice, burnt caramel and a strong meaty/salty note. Weird. The taste is heavy spice, apple, caramel. Thin-watery, high carbonation. This is a train wreck.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Maierovicz’s place. Thanks beerandbeyond. Clear orange-amber. Aroma of caramel, cinnamon and some furitiness. Sweet flavor with caramel, cinnamon and a slightly drier and spicier finish. Medium-bodied.

Pours a hazy dark amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes quickly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt and sweet spices. Light body with a flavor that is not particularly caramel nor apple. Some fruit and sweet spices flavors plus sweet malt. The finish is sweet with a nutmeg and cinnamon aftertaste. Average overall.

Tastes like a pumkin pie beer. The nutmeg overpowers everything. Hint of cinnamon. Shitty beer.

Pours a light amber/brown color. Aroma is pretty straight forward with apple and caramel malt taking the front seat and the spices are a sidenote. Flavor isn’t really so great. Kind of tastes like a poor effort at an amber with some apple and spice. Meh. This was sampled at Whole Foods Scottsdale as part of the Blue Moon sample where tasters get to vote on which beer will be in the sampler pack in the fall of 2012.

Bottle. Nutmeg, light cinnamon/apple, and caramel malt aroma. Amber with small head. Sweet apple, light caramel malt and mildly bitter nutmeg flavor. Aroma had some promise (although only for a typical pumpkin beer with apple notes) but not much in the flavor department. Nothing unpleasant though.

Bottle @ home picked up at RJ’s Fort Collins. Pours a clear, golden orange appearance with thin tan head. Spicy, apple fruity, pear, kind of bland aroma. Kind of bready, nutmeg/cinnamon, apple, tangy, fruity flavor. Not super hard to drink but really scroll past-able.

"I’m comparing apples to apples here...this one is one of the better blue moon’s, just like the apple shock toop is one of the best of that line. I think the ST is a little better, though. This is pleasant enough...apple and spices as advertised, just very simple, very thin, and a tad overcarbonated."
