Had this at the 2012 Great American Beer Fest in Denver, Colorado. Big smokey meat scents/flavor, got a bit of bacon flavor.

Sampled at GABF with Moreau. Yet, another bomb. Pours a deep brown body with thin brown lacing. Aroma is light chocolate malts, maybe some smoke in the back but very tame overall. Mouthfeel is thin with notes of watered down chocolate milk, light smoke and roasted malts.

Drank in Denver for GABF 2012. Pours a ruddy brown color. A big nose of bacon, smoke and chocolate. Basically has these flavors, very clearly bacon, but is thin and needs much more. Good though.

Pours an average amber with a nose of bacon and chocolate powder. Flavor is weak smoked meat with a slapping of chocolate syrup. Average mouthfeel. Meh.

Totlaly thin in body which ruins it but the flavor and smell are right on. Bacony and chocolatey, but the body,, oh is it bad.

Dark brownish pour with a tan head. Aroma of smoke, chocolate with some roastiness and roasted malts. Flavor has some smoke, chocolate, and a little bacon and toffee. Fairly good.

Chocolate and bacon in a porter? I really want to like this one more but something’s not quite right. But I’m sick of regular Blue Moon so they should brew up a couple more batches of this so I can try it again.

On tap at Texas Beerfest. Pours a dark amber with beige head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is cinnamon and bacon. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet chocolate and smokey finish. A decent porter from Blue Moon.

Pours a medium brown plum .. medium foam .. light lacing .. . odd smell, lots of cocoa and fake cocoa powder .. . light notes of bacon, dark brown bread crust, thin cooking chocolate and some dark chocolate .. . mouthfeel is about what you would expect, medium to light .. . flavours come out light but i get what they were up too - i hope this wins, i enjoyed this the most!!
.. . . And I gave that man directions even though I didn’t know the way, because that’s the kind of man I am this week.
