3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear copper colored beer pours with a thin head that stays thin and is polite enough to lace the glass, but slide down quickly. No obvious carbonation unless disturbed. Shy smell of spicy yeast, pepper and flowery hop/coriander. Sweet understated caramel malt taste with coriander/pepper and medium mouth feel, ending with a gentle note of lactic sourness. Not a great example of farmhouse ale, but an almost unbelievable example of an attempt by a large commercial brewer to make something halfway interesting. I would like to shake the hand of the brewmaster who walked this tightrope.

pours clear red into a goblet. white fizzy head that quickly disappears. Not much visual carbonation. Aroma of yeast and a little spice. Slightly tart taste with a light body. I could hardly finish it. Not good at all. You would think with all of their resources and 150 years of brewing experience they could produce a beer that would just blow every other beer in that category away.

I drew the short straw by tasting this. Cinnamon, spices, clove, and nutmeg collide to make this undrinkable for me.

No head, reddish copper. Tomato, pepper, carrot. If it sounds like I am describing a V8, well, it kinda tastes like one. I never end up liking Blue Moon stuff.

Has a weird almost tart aftertaste. Ok for a red; not great overall. Probably won't buy again.

Not an overly impressive brew but not bad. Most impressed with a nice finish. This saved the beer for me!

Decent macroish beer. Clear reddish pour. Aroma of sweet malts and yeast. The taste had a little bit if citrus and tart. Still pretty grainy. Fairly watery light mouthfeel.

Aroma: Light caramel, white pepper, slight apple tartness. Appearance: Copper with a frothy white head. Flavor: Matches the nose. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, lively carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: Acceptable beer; not the worst take on a farmhouse ale Iíve tried.
