gotohelunc (385), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Dec 9, 2007 Bottle. LIght brown color, little bit of a malt on the nose. Decent enough flavor of matls, though not much to it. It says "Ale" but I’d swear this is a flavored lager. Not a great beer, but at least it’s real easy drinkin’.
brianprentiss (397), Mountain View, California, USA Oct 11, 2008 Smells like a cheap beer, and certainly not a double, but if it were classified some other way maybe people wouldn’t be so hard on it...Expectations! But, not a bad beer; I enjoyed it. jcdsmack (46), Henderson, Nevada, USA Sep 25, 2008 Not a bad beer, I wouldn’t classify it as a belgian abbey. More like a special amber ale I guess you could compare it to Fat Tire. Let’s face it it’s 5 1/2 % ABV that’s not a dubbel. For a mass produced ale it’s drinkable. nqualls (422), Tennessee, USA Sep 19, 2008 Bottle. Poured a cloudy amber with a small tan head. Aroma of nutmeg and cinnamon. Flavor reflects the aroma. Decent but not great. donrajin (233), Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, USA Sep 19, 2008 Not a bad beer, but a far cry from a dubbel. Need’s a lot more depth and complexity to be called a dubbel. Again, not bad, but a little thin. KawaBomber (149), New Jersey, USA Aug 4, 2008 12oz Bottle ’07: Clear amber w/ a small off-white head. Some slight candy sugar in the aroma, not much else. Flavor is sweet malts. Nothing exciting here...time to move along.
