Meh. The spicing isn’t overdone and harsh, but there’s just not a lot else going on with the beer.

Clear, dark amber with a thin, creamy tan head.
Aroma is faint...ginger, caramel, grain malt.
Taste is sweet, caramel malt, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, molasses.
A bit thin, but not a bad effort at all.....lives up to it’s deScription.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Slightly cloudy deep gold. Medium sized head. Aroma was gingerbread but it was not a pleasant smell. Maybe like old stall gingerbread. Taste was not much better. It had that spicy taste but it had a lot of off taste that was not very good.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light aroma of ginger and some caramel malt. Tastes more of the same along with some muddled spice. Pours a dark ruby red with a good sized white head that dissipates into a ring. Medium bodied with high carbonation. Overall it was okay, nothing special; average Blue Moon.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark brown with an impressive offwhite head. Smells of ginger, molasses and various holiday spices. The taste is a little less strong than the smell, with a caramel, cinnamon and brown sugar flavor and has a chai coffee kind of quality to it. Finishes with a gentle snap.
Blue Moon is one of my favorite brewers so I picked this up. Honestly it wasn’t as good as I hoped for, but is perfect for cold wintery nights. Beats a cup of hot chocolate by miles!

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Deep brown coloured body with a thinnish off-white head. Aroma of super spices showing of course ginger, nutmeg, malt, coriander seed and quite a bit of brown sugar. Medium-bodied; Strong malt flavours, but the spices show through way stronger with only a little earthiness and alcohol - this is all about the malt and especially the spices. Aftertaste has a slight balance of sweetness and earthiness from the malt, but the spices persist along with some caramelised sweetness. Overall, a nice beer that shows a ton of spices and finishes out well-balanced with a good deal of malt and spices. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased by a hockey teammate on 02-March-2015 - Thanks Ken, sampled after a hockey game.
