Blue Moon Christmas? Maybe. Gingerbread Ale. A wheat beer brewed with ginger, spices, and molasses.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a hazy burnt orange to brown color with a one finger white foamy and bubbly head that dissipated within about a minute leaving a light lacing trickling down along the sides of the glass. The smell had gingerbread up front with a decent cinnamon and vanilla invading slightly. The taste was mainly sweet and slightly spicy drawing in some of the bready notes to balance. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation gave off a decent harshness but managed to be somewhat tame. Overall, much better than some of the other blue moon varieties. Definitely do - able.

Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Pours a dark amber color with and off-white head. Light lacing. Nose is cinnamon and nutmeg. Sort of like a pumpkin beer minus the pumpkin. Medium body. Flavor is malty wand I assume that is gingerbread. This is decent, but somehow underwhelming

12 ounce bottle from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. This beer pours deep amber and has a nice beige head that never quite leaves. An aroma of Fall spices including nutmeg and cinnamon. Those are tasted. Somehow this does taste kind of like gingerbread. This beer is all about the spices. Not bad.

Lots of spicy flavors. Not bad when very cold, but kind of obnoxious as it warms. Plenty of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice - the usual suspects...

bottle - Clear amber pour, one finger head... it smells of caramel and spice. The flavor is of sweet caramel malt, spice, ginger... yeah, itís pretty much what it says it is though I found the execution not much more than decent.

Lager Glass. Odors of gingerbread and spices. Pours clear amber with some head. A pretty good winter beer. The malty mouth feel and the gingerbread go together nicely.

Hazy brownish orange pour with slight very short lasting one finger head. Aroma is of spice, a bit of molasses and hints of christmas. Taste is moderately sweet with a spicy finish but an overall weak body and palate. Decent beer but nothing special

UPDATED: MAY 4, 2014 Well, it tastes like gingerbread alright. Itís too fizzy and itís a strange concept but I donít dislike it as strongly as some of Blue Moonís other offerings. The balance and flavor are passable. Too bad itís really not my thing and the execution is imperfect.

Bottle. Pours a clear orangish amber with an off-white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice gingerbread note to it with a decent amount of molasses and bread underlying. Flavor is a bit more subdued with a nice gingerbread note backed by molasses and some sweet grains.

Not bad offering from everyoneís favorite crafty brewer that was left in my fridge by a friend attending a party. Pours a light medium clear brown with almost no head. Scent is nutmeg and holiday spice. Flavor starts just a touch bitter then races to a sweet spiced finish. Spilled beer while writing this review. Not a huge loss. Bottle - Source Unknown
