2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 hopscotch (7272) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 14, 2010
Bottle… Hazy golden ale with thousands of floaties tooling about the glass and a mid-sized, wispy, white head. Decent retention. The nose is mostly pale malt, biscuit and earthy grain. Unfortunately, acetaldehyde is also a characteristic of this brew’s bouquet. Full-bodied and lightly creamy with lively carbonation. Balanced well between pale grain sweetness and alcohol/hop bitterness. Finishes fairly crisp with a mild back-handed slap of acetaldehyde.

Pours hazy gold with a foamy white head. Light aromas of citrus zest and a bit of spice. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is a litte bready, a little banana, some definite citrus zest. Pretty good. Leaves a bit of herb in the mouth.

Bottle. Poured hazy yellow color with an average frothy white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate yeast and citrus aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This is a drinkable sweet beer.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BMan1113VR (6142) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 1, 2009
Bottle thanks to mar. Pours with a hazy golden body and a large white head. Aroma of coriander and spice with clove and a dry champagne note. Taste is quite sweet with coriander, clove, and is really not that bad at all. Light to medium carbonation. Dryish finish considering the sweetness. Not bad!
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ughsmash (5623) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 19, 2009
2009 750mL. Poured hazy, pale golden with a short cap of white head. The aroma picked up warm banana-ey sweetness and honey topped by white pepper, cloves, and orange peel.. candied, non-offensive impression. The flavor found warm honey and pale malts at the core, again with spices (cloves and orange zest again) around.. tangy finish with more orange zest and some banana.. long, sweet impression at the end. Medium-bodied with moderate, very consistent carbonation across the palate.. tangy again, but just too sweet.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 BeerandBlues2 (5591) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 1, 2010
Bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a medium, frothy white head, fair retention and lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (grain) with a slant towards Pils malt. Notes of bananas and perfume alcohol with spicy hops. Flavor is pils malt with DMS notes and bananas with a spicy hop and alcohol finish. The DMS is detrimental to this style of beer and needs to be addressed. Mouthfeel is moderate with good carbonation and a dry finish. This beer needs work.
