COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Belgium, a Grand Cru is traditionally brewed for special celebrations. This holiday season, there’s definitely something to celebrate: a blue moon on New Year’s Eve. To honor this rare event, we’ve brewed a limited-edition Blue Moon Grand Cru in the US. This small-batch, Artfully Crafted brew incorporates subtle hints of orange peel and coriander and delivers a warm, spicy finish. Garnish with an orange slice and celebrate.

Found two bottles of this in a little beer store. 2009 edition. I was a little concerned with how old they were but they had been kept chilled and in the dark so I had hope. Lots of sediment at the bottom of the bottle with this one. Nose is of orange peel, coriander, wheat, and yeast. Very hazy appearance. This was a delicious beer. So much flavor going on here. It is like an amplified version of a regular blue moon. Lots of flavor notes on the palate and the finish is long and lingering. Complex to say the least. Great brew, if you ever get the chance to try it, absolutely do so.

Pours really nice, very little head. A really nice golden hue, with pleasant aromas with spices and citrus hints. A spicy attack which mellows and warms to a nice spicy finish. Overall a very nice beer.

Bottle. Way overpriced, but seeing as how Belgian whites are one of my all time favorite styles, I said why the hell not. Aroma of orange peel, coriander, and floral notes. It poured an unfiltered cloudy golden yellow color with a head that lasted the distance. Taste was phenomenal, and as I drank it I questioned to myself why the original blue moon wasn’t crafted this way. The alcohol is hidden so well, that you wouldn’t know it was 8.2% without looking it up. I tasted spice, dough, and clove. Active carbonation on the palate that left a strong fizz in my mouth and on the way down. Overall this is an excellent wit beer and it’s too bad that they’re only making a limited edition of this. Scoop it up before it’s gone!

Picked up a 750 ml bottle from Zipps Liquors in Minneapolis, MN. Pours a hazy light straw colored brew with a thick white head that has some nice retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of golden grain malt, lots of coriander and orange zest, yeast and a hint of lemon. Taste is full bodied, soft carbonation with flavors of Belgian multi-grain malt, heavy on the orange zest, coriander, yeast, a hint of banana and lemon. Finish continues the orange zest aftertaste, a touch sweet with a velvet texture. Quite excellent.

Smells nicely or orange zest. Very cloudy, tons of floaties. This is a nice beer. Not very wheaty, quite a bit of orange. Smooth and tasty. A very nice wit beer, a bit pricey.

I really like this beer. Cloudy orange color. A little head. Smells of orange and citrus. Very effervescent. Hides the alcohol very well. I wish this came in six packs.

Big fan of this. Would go well with some seafood. Or any new beer drinkers. Lots of sediment forms at bottom of bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sweet and spicy aroma. Smells of banana and faint lemon citrus. Sweet - almost syrupy mouthfeel. Lots of nice yeasty spice notes. Lovely complexity. This should be the regular Blue Moon!

Bottle from Pwn3d for my Bday. Thanks brodudeman. Nose is doughy, orange, and wild yeasts. Pour is a creamsicle orange, very, very hazy. This was an interesting brew to rate. Words like "fluffy" and "buttery" were tossed about in hopes of capturing an accurate description of the mouthfeel. In comparison to Blue Moon, this beer is much more complex, and possesses a smoother, and in my opinion, tastier flavor. Hides the alcohol dangerously well... Ultra mellow. Very happy to see a macro brewery come out with a beer like this.
