Bottle. Copper color. Aroma of sweet pumpkin, estery yeast, wheat and amber caramel. Flavor has lots yeast esters, chemical sweet pumpkin, iron and a bitter caramel finish. It’s allright.

Blue Moon's Harvest Pumpkin Ale 5.7% This is popping up at many major retailers. I got mine at Aeon Liquors but I spotted it for less at Liquor Mountain. It pours a reddish amber with a fast dissipating beige head of foam. It's got a nicely spiced nose of nutmeg, allspice & cloves. Medium bodied with a scratchy carbonation. A tad too gassy. The taste is sweet, nutty, vegetal pumpkin flesh and light spices. Overall, nice aroma & passable flavor means it is a decent option for those looking for a low-budget pumpkin ale in Japan. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Translucent copper orange with minimal head. Pleasant autumn aroma containing notes of pumpkin, caramel, nutmeg, cloves, malt, and cinnamon. Thin and silky texture. Spices are lacking in the flavour save for nutmeg, but the pumpkin and malt are present. Very mild hop. I surprisingly enjoyed this.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 1/11/2016. Pours slightly cloudy orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, caramel, brown sugar, wheat, toasted biscuit, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of pumpkin/spices and dark/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, caramel, brown sugar, wheat, toasted biscuit, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good complexity, balance, and solid robustness of pumpkin/spice and dark/bready malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, lightly creamy/bready, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is okay. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a solid pumpkin ale style. All around good balance, complexity, and solid robustness of pumpkin/spices and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A pleasantly enjoyable offering.

12 oz bottle poured in pint glass. One fingeg off white head. Beer is a clear amber color. Aroma is lightly malty with some spices and nutmeg. Taste is lightly sweet and malty with some medium notes of spice. Very little true pumkin. Average carbonation. Smooth finish. Over all an average enjoyable pumpkin ale. On the malty side with plenty of spice and extras but not over kill.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2015 I know a lot of people aren’t crazy about this product, but I’ve found it’s heavier flavors enticing me for another, and another, and another. The nutmeg shows through from beginning to end and when I want a lighter beer with something earthy behind it at this time of year, it is often my go to. It doesn’t excel, but it was refreshing for me.

This beer is getting too harsh reviews imo. VERY good beer. If you like pumpkin pie this is like pumpkin pie in a bottle.
