As far as pumpkin beers go, this is at the top of my list. It may be a mass production beer but it drinks better than the craft beers for this flavor.

Bottle (of course). Pours a hazy amber. Spice on the nose. Nice pumpkin spice flavor. Good beer for the price.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear lt amber/orange with a medium off white head. Aroma has some slightly doughy malts, caramel and a touch of pumpkin pie filling. Flavor is a bit bland but has light pumpkin pie filling and earthy/roasty notes. Mouthfeel is light/medium and the finish is lightly roasted and earthy/dry.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From bottle. Aroma of nutmeg and cinnamon. Taste is same with a bit of pumpkin. Mouthful is decent not watery like some. Score is low from all the pumpkins I have tried, 20+. Overall good pumpkin beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a bright and clear dark orange body with a one finger off-white head that slowly faded. The nose is pretty heavy on the spicing, cinnamon and nutmeg especially, but a little bit of a ginger note in here as well. The malt base is sweet caramel with some toasted malt notes. The flavor is heaviest on the cinnamon, but the caramel and toasty maltiness is rather heavy as well. Minimal actual pumpkin flavor. Long lingering caramel sweetness on the finish. Medium bodied, a little clingy, moderate fizzy carbonation. A little better than some Pumpkin Ales, but a little too spice-centric for my tastes.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a well retained, ivory head, over a clear dark amber (SRM 15) body.......nose is cereal malts, pumpkin, no spices.....taste is squash, light roasted malts, hints of possible toffee/caramel, but with only slight sweetness, no hops, tiny hints of nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, finishing bland.....mouth feel light of medium, carbonation adds light acid and slight tingle. This is a very different pumpkin beer in that it tastes of malt, squash (butternut) and only light spice hints. Usually in this genre it is spicy sweetness reminiscent of pie. This is a nice beer. 3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Not a bad beer. Wouldn’t go out of my way to drink it again. Nice copper color. Aroma was of pumpkin (obviously) and other indistinct fruits and spices. pretty crisp palate. Pumpkin flavor was actually pretty mild. Tasted almost more like a an Oktoberfest than a pumpkin ale.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Another good try from the folks of Blue Moon. Sadly, this one is above average pumpkin ale. Unbalanced flavor between pumpkin and spices.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Type: 12-oz. bottle
Glass: Pint glass
From: Walmart in Fayetteville, N.C.
Consumed: Oct. 13, 2013
Misc.: My younger brother bought a 12-pack
Poured a dark caramel color with one finger of gray head. Minimal lacing on the sides of the glass and minimal retention on the way down.
Smelled pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, wintry spices, cloves and gingerbread.
Tasted similar to the smell with those winter spices leading the way. Also pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon. A little lacking in flavor overall though.
Light-to-medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-soft carbonation. Longer finish.
Not bad for Blue Moon’s version of a pumpkin beer. I’ve certainly had better, but this wasn’t the worst.

Nice combination of spices, with the nutmeg standing out most. A tasty pumpkin ale that I think is underrated here.
