Nejhleader (779), Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, USA May 23, 2005 Updated: Feb 8, 2006 Goes down smooth and has a very nice spicy pumpkin taste to it. Look forward to next autumn to get this again
Beershine (1207), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 20, 2008 Clear amber with even white head. Smells vegetal, sweet, and slightly plastic. Very soft and gentle mouthfeel and sticky palate. Sweet entry, bready finish. Mildly spiced, with pie crust evident. Creamy entry and thin finish but is much better than I had expected. elihapa (232), Hawaii, USA Aug 20, 2008 Pours a maple color with a medium head. Aroma is grassy, with some spice and malt. Flavor is a little on the weak side, finishing with notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, stewed pumpkin, and malt. Overall, I really wasn’t a big fan of this. The flavors seemed too artificially spiced, and the palate was too thin to really get me in the mood for creamy pumpkin. beer_chugger (31), Colorado, USA Aug 16, 2008 Pours an amber color and very little head retention. No lacing on the glass. It does not smell like a pumpkin ale, it just smells like a macro. The spices are decent, nutmeg tends to stand out. There is not much pumpkin flavor and overall, the beer is disappointing. Sandman2222 (34), Florida, USA Aug 13, 2008 I tried this once last year, and once this year. Still not impressed. A weak attempt at a pumpkin ale. Amber in color, with a hint of spice and pumpkin. I’ll drink if it’s the best pumpkin around, but I’ll wait for DFH or Post Road. dalepryor (148), St. Petersburg, Florida, USA Aug 12, 2008 In my opinion this one was a little weak, more spice than pumpkin although it was very easy to drink.
