My first pumpkin beer, but not my first Blue Moon product. Rather pleasant surprise. Pours a nice reddish-orange. Probably the most pleasant smelling beer I’ve rated yet, with pumpkin and spices including nutmeg, as well as gingerbread and cloves. The spice flavor definately overpowers the pumpkin flavor, which is rather subtle. A nice, quaint beer for a cool autumn day.

Originally reviewed: 10/29/08. Grabbed a single of this at my stop to Whole Foods. Pours a deep amber with a pretty good sized head. Great retention with some spotty lacing sticking to the sides. The smell of this was forgettable. Picking up just a whiff of pumpkin and spice. Malt is the big player here. Taste the pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, and other spices. Deep malt backbone. Very watery brew. No crispness, no good carbonation. This brew is flat as can be. This beer also warmed very quickly. I would not have this again just for the mouthfeel, or lack thereof.

355ml bottle. There is definitely some pumpkin and spice in the flavour and also the aroma. Pumpkin pie in a glass. Orange to amber colour with cinnamon and clove in the aroma.

Appearance was caramel rocky 2 finger whiteish diminishing head, no lacing.Aromas where of caramel malts with mild grassy hops, little yeasts bready dough like.Taste was slight pumpkins and honey malts just not enough for a good beer. Citrusy hops where hintly there, but needs more. Palate was crisp flattish carbonation with thinnish body with slight metallic short finish. Falls flat...

Readily available pumpkin beer. Not the best but not the worst. Nice copper hazy color. Sweet tasting hoppy finish which is most likely the added spices hitting as it goes down. Nice and cold pretty lacing in the glass. For those who do not have access to a wide variety of Pumpkin brews from a small local brewer this one will do just fine. Had my first Pumpkin beer/ ale about 14 years ago... still nice to go back to. Always save a few of these till late spring.

Pours clear orange with white head, aroma has notes of dirty gym socks, some slight grainy notes, but the smell really is not appealing. Taste is much better, with notes of some slight vanilla and caramel, touch of slight spice and maybe a touch of pumpkin, but finishes fairly sweet.

Nose genetically beery with hints of nutmeg spices and so on. A little brown sugar. Pours brown thin foam ring. Flavors of cinanon nutmeg pie spice. Light caramel and generic coordinate flavor. Not bad not good. Easy to finish I guess.

Nice appearance for a lighter ale: Vienna-like with a medium sized head. Poor nose: similar to the base beer. Light spice and wheat flavors. Light body, caramelly flavors, and a short, crisp finish. Better than Blue Moon, but lacks quality overall.

A down scale brew with almost no aroma and little taste. Thin body and modest head.
