Cask; Regular.
A red-brown beer beer with a good balance of malt and hops. Roast notes linger in the dry richness of the finish.

NOt very of my style, but being fair, the colour and the taste was good, speaks well of the process, the foam was cloudy and the way I like it. NOt annoying aftertaste.

Cask at GBBF 2006. A hazy amber beer with a bubbly orange head. The aroma is quite light - what is there is sweet caramel combined with nuts. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of nuts and light notes of caramel, but towards the end a weird metallic and burnt coffee note comes along. I don’t like the end - without which I’d really like the beer.

Great British Beer Festival 2006. Dark Brown. Standard English bitter and after a few of these you can’t say much about them.

Cask (GBBF 2006): A bit fizzy in feel. Darker copper in colour. Quite nice roast, caramel and darker fruit notes coming through. Balanced and tasty.

Cask (handpump) at GBBF, August 2006. Day 3, beer #12. Quite dark, chestnut brown colour. Soft, malty aroma. Sweet initially on the palate. Richer malt and light, but insistent, bitterness develop later. Underpinned by juicy berry fruit. Full, lasting finish. Well balanced and full of understated charm. Rather Autumnal in feel. A very decent drop indeed.

Cask Conditioned, Gravity poured at Oxford Beer Festival ’04. Pale amber with bubbly head. Strongish alcoholic notes in an otherwise understated bitter, hoppy and fruity but relatively low in flavour. Some spice on the nose. Decent strong bitter.
