Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Nov 8, 2009 Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Cellars Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear golden pale colored brew with a thin off-white head that dissipates clean. Aroma of golden grain malt, some citrus and a hint of heat. Taste is light bodied, golden grain malt, some honey, wheat and very light spice. Finish is light, crisp with very little aftertaste is any. beercamel (83), Chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 6, 2009 Had this beer a long time ago so dont remember too well. Remember not like it too much and its like any of these macro summer honey beers. Not a big fan of any of the blue moon beers. "the ones by coors". Chapel (329), Levittown, New York, USA Oct 30, 2009 Part of a backlog and so not available anymore. Don’t worry, you aren’t missing too much. This really, really wants to be Belgian, but its not. Light wheat flavor which translates to a thin orange flavor. Definitely a star of the brewer, but not something you should spend any effort finding. UriahHeep (103), Georgia, USA Oct 26, 2009 Tried it during the summer time. Was nothing to brag about. Just a mellow ale with some honey and spices to add to flavor and smoothness. This beer is too subtle and too watered down for my liking. topherh (892), Kearney, Missouri, USA Oct 7, 2009 Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma is faint honey, wheat, and citrus. Flavor is very light wheat, and a bit of sweetness, not detecting any honey. Just a very light american style wheat. patrickfannon (274), Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 4, 2009 Bottle. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aroma of of hay, wheat, spice, and small hint of hops. Loose body with a moderate finish, Average summer ale. brenn79 (140), Idaho, USA Oct 1, 2009 12 oz. bottle- Pours a pale golden color, disappointing flavor, really little honey taste. I remember loving this beer, what happened, did Coors lighten the flavor to broaden to the mass public, very disappointing. poisoneddwarf (153), Rathdrum, Idaho, USA Sep 20, 2009 12 oz bottle. I usually think this is the best summer beer on the market. I’m usually impressed by the honey flavor. I can barely detect any this year, however. It seems as Blue Moon grows in popularity, their beers get more bland. It’s like Coors is sacrificing quality in order to pump out more product. I’ve thought the same thing about their fall pumpkin ale for years. Years ago, that beer had a strong pumpkin pie flavor. Now I can barely detect any. And so it is with Honey Moon now. It has just a hint of honey now. Pours almost no head; pale hazy golden hue. Tastes like an inoffensive, bland wheat ale.
