I enjoy regular blue moon much more. This is a very easy drinking honey lager but nothing like blue moon so I don’t know why it carries the name. You should be able to find a better honey lager without much effort.

This beer has been around for a while. Blue Moon has capitalized on the "label appeal" Unfortunately this beer falls short of the cooler case placement. It’s thin in taste with a tin-ish flavor. For the add’l 1.5-2 $$ you’d spend you might as well buy Sam Adams.

I’m a fan of their belgian white, so I thought this would be a nice summertime brew. It really seemed like coors with a little honey. Completely disappointed.

Pours golden w/ a full, semi spritzy froth. Hangtime is good reducing to a nice full lace. Aroma of honey and soft citrus malts. Light nectar w/ ample residual effers. A malty brew, crisp and refreshing. Posseses a defined honey essence w/ a mild squirt of perfume and orange fruit. The finish is brisk w/ a mild bittering unit.

A 12 oz bottle with drink by date on the bottle. The beer poured a hazie light golden brown color and a big foam head. The smell is of honey and malt. The taste is a good honey flavor with a mild orange taste. The carbonation was weak and no lacing but a good beer.

Tastes like a cheap American style pale lager with citrus in it...not a good attempt at a refreshing wheat beer at all. Bad

Had on tap at Mollys with MsCoop, wacky wednesday!! ..Pours a somewhat hazy yellow with a quite decent head..lacing is very good...Smell is lacking..Taste is of faint honey, and not much else...Good, refreshing but absolutely lacking...

Blue moon honey summer ale is filtered. No gunk on the bottom of this 12 oz twist off cap brown bottle. Slightly hazy but is nearly the appearance of ubiquitous pale yellow American lager. Steady streams of visual carbonation arising. Thin white head and a girdle. The clean mild aroma is no indication of the honey impact that is lurking in the first sip, not overwhelmingly syrupy sweet but certainly honey flavors. Some bitterness that cannot be assigned to hops or malts but it is present and diligent. Not much wheatiness n the taste, more like mild lager perhaps. Good creamy carbonation, above average in tingliness. Odd how the honey impact fades as you near the bottom of the glass. After I saw the label, I’m not really sure which blue moon variety I tasted previously. Not quite as good as Samuel Adams Hefeweizen or Harpoon UFO Hefeweizen but on par with other wheat beer that have some medium bitterness. Probably better than JW Dundees.
