Pours a clear golden body with huge head. Aroma is grainy, crisp, the honey came out later into the drinking from the glass. Flavor is sweet, crisp, light graininess, with a sweet honey after taste.Nice mouthfeel. This seems like a perfect hot summer session beer. I really enjoyed this one. pojo41 (315), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 17, 2007 Bottle. Nice cloudy pour with a decent head. You can taste the honey and orange in this one. I like the regular Blue Moon occasionally and I would put this along side it. Not too bad at all. redlem (1155), Illinois, USA

Well some of them anyway, look at the category they were entered in. Living in IL if I see honey I think Leinies Honey Weiss, a bad beer, so this one has no shot. Yes there is some hint of spices in aroma and taste but it is funny that good weiss beers dont need those spices added in they get it from the quality ingredients. I am rambling too long for a macro beer. Lawnmower, nuff said. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jun 16, 2007 From the tap, sampled at a cooler cellar temperature in a restaurant shaker glass.
Poured a clear orange hued, yellowish golden with a foamy white head, settled into a thin sudsy lacing.
A faint, kinda of clean nose, grainy and sweet lagerish-like malts, I guess that’s the honey giving the malts a lager sweetness, not much in the way of orange peel, a musty chalkiness and light spiciness, I was disappointed with the aroma.
Good carbonation and a light crisp, dryish, thin, smooth medium-light bodied mouthfeel.
The raw honey comes through more in the taste than the smell, but still, I find this to be pretty bland and kinda of boring, the honey maltiness dominates the taste and is the best thing about it, the orange peel is really light, I had to search for it, some spiciness at the end, and a dry honey and biscuit finish.
I have nothing against the regular Blue Moon, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was drinking a honey lager, not a ale and certainly not a witbier, low on the orange peel and the basic spiciness, not very wheaty, this just didn’t do it for me, one glass and I’m done.

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 16, 2007 Strange gritty ale with an acrid finish. The flavors don’t mesh well. It is too sweet and not refreshing enough. jb (1034), Rochester, New York, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 15, 2007 This stuff is rather disappointing compared to the flagship. Very typical to american pale lager style (look and aroma or lack thereof) with a slight American wheat taste. Very mild citrus in nose and palate. mansquito (821), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 15, 2007 Really pale colour that was only a little cloudy. Lasting white head. Tiny little fruity smell. A lot of flavour at the front actually, with the honey, orange and spicy tastes. Then to the finish you get the bread. I think I prefer this to the normal Blue Moon actually.
